What is concrete

If the pavement beneath my feet

Feels like it's disappeared

And I'm sinking.

What ground do I stand on

If I've wandered off

into unknown territory

And nothing around me feels solid

Concrete.

That's all I'm asking for

Sure direction

Clarity

Something solid

You know...concrete?

What am I supposed to build my hope on

If I've set my hopes on things less concrete?

How do I go from unstable and shaky

To the solid rock I was supposed to build my house on?
